About

Asma has completed her degree in Physiotherapy in 2005. She holds more than 10 years of clinical experience.

She is a Pelvic Floor Therapist who has certification in Introduction to Pelvic Health Part 1 and 2 from the University of Alberta (March 2021). Because of her special interest in treating incontinence and pelvic pain problems she is currently pursuing her Diploma in Urogynaecological Wellness Practitioner Program. Also, her future plans are to pursue certification in pediatric incontinence and PMDB Pelvic Floor Muscle Dysfunction Biofeedback.

Additionally, having worked in a variety of settings, her breadth of knowledge in the field allows her to work with all types of patients and in all areas of the rehabilitation, including TMJ, and concussion management. Moreover, she is also certified in dry needling and authorized to use needles in practice.

She is a proponent of building relationships with her patients, as well as with her team. She believes in client-centered care and goal-oriented rehabilitation. She sees great value in taking time to educate his clients about their problems and the reasoning behind their presentations. Her philosophy is to find and treat the cause while respecting the symptoms to prevent future injuries.

Outside of Physiotherapy, Asma aims to learns golfing, she enjoys running outdoors with her husband, and maintaining fitness through targeted workouts.
