About
Jackie earned her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University in 2011. Before her physiotherapy education, she worked for 2 years as a Registered Kinesiologist (having graduated from McMaster in 2007 with a Bachelor of Kinesiology) which gave her a strong foundation in exercise and helped her to recognize the importance of individualized programs. In addition, she has taken several courses to continue her education including APTEI Advanced Lumbo-Pelvic Complex, Core Confidence, Cervical Whiplash Associated Disorders, as well as several therapeutic taping courses.
Jackie has a passion for health and well-being which began with playing soccer and participating in various forms of physical activity in her youth. She enthusiastically provides treatment for a variety of musculoskeletal/orthopaedic conditions, sports injuries, work-related accidents and injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents. Her approach to physiotherapy incorporates education, personalized therapeutic exercises, various soft tissue techniques and taping. She strongly believes in following patient-led goals to empower her patients to be an active participant in their own care and achieve the result of feeling their best while doing the activities that are important to them.
