Aaliyah obtained her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with Specialized Honours degree at York University in 2019. Born in Montreal, she also graduated in Child Studies and Health from Dawson College in 2015, where she also played Division 1 and 2 basketball. She has received athlete of the year scholarships and most improved player awards.
Since Graduation, Aaliyah has taken courses focusing on Concussion Management and Arthritis Management and dedicates her time volunteering. In 2019, she volunteered at the Arthritis Society in Toronto and assisted in a non-profit camp for children with Arthritis. During her time volunteering, she created a Arthritis support blog called, The Arthritis Movement, which showcases individuals with Arthritis. Her purpose for creating the page is to spread awareness and connect individuals. Growing up with Juvenile Arthritis herself, she knew the importance of exercise which has led her to be passionate about this profession. She is dedicated in providing patients with patient-centred care exercises and returning them back to their regular activities.
Outside of work, Aaliyah enjoys Youtube, blogging about health and self care, travelling, and dancing.
