Alicia graduated from the University of Alberta with a Master of Science in Physiotherapy with distinction in 2018. Upon completion of this program, she was awarded the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Student Award. Prior to this, she completed a Bachelor of Physical Education with distinction in 2015 at the University of Alberta.
During her Bachelor degree, she focused on sports performance. In addition to her university education, Alicia is also a registered personal trainer through the Canadian Fitness Professionals since 2011.
Over the years, Alicia has completed various certifications such as soft tissue release, YogaFit and TRX group class trainer to further her education about the human body and improve her skills for providing holistic care for her clients. Alicia hopes to pursue further education in areas of acupuncture, orthopedics and intramuscular stimulation. She also hopes to take training in the specialties of concussion and vestibular management.
When Alicia is not at work, she enjoys hiking in the mountains, doing yoga, kayaking and rock climbing.
