Alison is a graduate from ICT Northumberland College’s 2200-hour Massage Therapy program. Before attending the massage therapy program, she was employed with Lifemark as an administrative assistant at the Bayers Road multidisciplinary clinic. While working at this clinic, she developed an interest in massage therapy and was eager to get involved assisting others in returning to their daily activities after motor vehicle or workplace accidents.
Alison brings a diverse skill set to her patients, specializing in MVA injury, work-related injury, whiplash, strain/sprains, and postural dysfunction. During her time at ICT Northumberland, she completed courses in general Swedish massage, myofascial release, and craniosacral therapy. Her treatment approach is individualized, to help each patient achieve their goals, whether it be to reduce stress, recover from injuries, and/or improve overall health and wellness.
A PEI native, Alison enjoys living a healthy lifestyle and, since moving to Nova Scotia, she has completed three 10k races at Maritime Race Weekend and Bluenose Marathon. She believes physical activity and proper nutrition is a significant part in the recovery process.
Alison is eager to work within a collaborative team environment to help her patients reach their rehabilitation goals and lead a healthy lifestyle.
