Alyssa completed her undergraduate degree in a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Lethbridge and moved to Edmonton to pursue her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta. Growing up, she competed in long distance running and consequently saw a physiotherapist for treatment of Runner's Knee. It was from these countless physio visits that Alyssa was inspired to pursue a career in physiotherapy.
Alyssa’s treatment approach incorporates a combination of exercise, manual therapy, and modalities. She is a strong believer in ensuring that patients have the tools to not only recover from their injuries, but to also prevent recurrence in the long term.
These days you will most likely find her rock climbing at the local bouldering gyms or skiing and hiking in the mountains. Her hobbies include baking, reading, and rollerblading. Alyssa ensures that she takes into account each of her patients’ unique lifestyle and interests, and with this will tailor her physiotherapy treatments accordingly.
