Amanda graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor in Kinesiology and a minor in Psychology. She recently obtained her Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree from the University of Alberta and moved back home to beautiful British Columbia.
Amanda has a passion for helping individuals achieve their goals, empowering them to take on an active role throughout their rehabilitation journey and having fun during the process. She enjoys treating clients of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities by modifying treatment approaches from acute injuries and post-surgery to high performance athletes. Amanda’s evidence-based treatment approach combines education, individualized exercise prescription and manual therapy which includes muscle energy technique, soft tissue release and joint mobilizations.
She has a particular interest and clinical experience in orthopedics, specifically neck and low back pain, and chronic/complex pain. She also has an interest in vestibular therapy and is planning to pursue post-graduate vestibular courses to continue her education. Currently, she is growing her knowledge in Clinical Pilates and has completed Calibrate’s Introduction to Clinical Pilates course.
Outside the clinic, Amanda enjoys hiking with her dog, volunteering at the BCSPCA or weightlifting at the gym. Also, she is a foodie and always looking for the best bubble tea in town.
Amanda has a working knowledge of Cantonese Chinese.
