Amy McQuillan studied Massage Therapy at Atlantic College of Therapeutic Massage in Fredericton, NB in 2013-2015. Having the massage background first gave her a deeper understanding of the body which helped her learn the acupuncture points when she began her studies in 2016-2018 at the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
During her two years there, she learned a variety of techniques to treat dis-ease, some of which were fire cupping, learning to use an electro acupuncture machine, and Guasha (which uses a tool to massage tension areas on the body). She also works on the energetics of the body using tuning fork therapy and Reiki.
She works as a deep tissue therapist but also incorporates relaxation in order to gain a good balance. She is a real people person and enjoys making all feel at ease and comfortable. She is experienced in addressing a variety of issues, including acute and chronic pain, neurological conditions, mood and sleep disorders, headaches, digestive issues, but especially connecting the mind to the body.
Her approach is compassionate, personalized and very thorough, always keeping the patient’s best interests at heart and setting her intentions very carefully and with dedication. Empowering the patient is her philosophy and she strives to make a difference in your health and wellness.
