Andrea grew up in Thornbury, Ontario. She moved out west and graduated in 1996 with her Physiotherapy degree from the University of Alberta.
She initally worked at the Lloydminster hospital for the first two years of her career and did a lot of sports physiotherapy, travelling with the Jr. A hockey team as well as the high school football and rugby teams. She has provided sports coverage for the Alberta and Saskatchewan summer games and the World Police Fire Games. She then moved to private practice and joined a large clinic in Saskatoon, where she started her manual therapy studies.
Feeling the call back to her family, Andrea returned to Lloydminster and founded her own private practice, Alta-Sask Wellness. She completed the orthopeadic division training levels and obtained her Diploma of Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy in 2007 and earned her FCAMPT. Andrea has gone on to learn the skills of Dry Needling and attended the University of British Columbia to become a Certified Gunn Intramuscular stimulation provider.
In 2019, Andrea and the Alta-Sask Wellness team joined up with Lifemark Health which has brought a nationwide team of knowledge and expertise to the therapists and communities we serve.
Andrea enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience and is an associate clinical instructor for both the Univeristies of Alberta and Saskatchewan. She often sees clients with chronic pain and works with her clients using a whole body approach to maximize their functional and minimize their pain levels.
Andrea prioritizes supporting the local community and volunteers in a number of community organizations. She enjoys being active, seeing new parts of the world and spending time with family and friends.
