About

Arash obtained his bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy in 2004 in Tehran, Iran. He set up his own private practice and served as a physiotherapist for several sports teams. Becoming the champion in many National, Regional and Asian cups made for a fantastic experience for working in high-level professional sports physiotherapy.

In 2012, Arash started his Master of Physiotherapy program in Belgium where he received training to have a Biopsychosocial Approach towards clients and to treat human body as a kinematic chain. He graduated with honours (Cum Laude) in 2014 from the prestigious Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven) and majored in manual therapy and sports physiotherapy.

Arash completed several post graduate courses including spinal and peripheral joints manipulation, IMS/Dry Needling, The Mulligan Concept of Manual Therapy, K-taping International Academy, Soft Tissue Release and more. He is also certified to assess and treat patients with concussion and vestibular dysfunctions such as dizziness/BPPV (Vertigo), headaches and balance/proprioception deficits using Infrared Goggles.

Arash is a certified Personal Training Specialist through Canada’s most reputable fitness organization, Canfitpro. At present, he is working towards obtaining the fellowship of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy as well as Sport Physiotherapy Canada designations.

"Exercise is Medicine" is Arash's motto. He has a keen interest in treating clients with sports injuries, Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA) and work-related injuries (WCB). He believes patient education, hands-on treatment and exercise therapy are the core of physical therapy practice. He combines this with profound knowledge of human anatomy, physiology and pathology.

When not working, Arash loves spending time with his family and friends, reading, watching movies and exploring the beautiful nature of Alberta.
