About

Belinda graduated her Bachelor of Physiotherapy course in 2004 at the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia.

Since graduation Belinda has worked with both adult and paediatric populations. She commenced her undergraduate training at Gold Coast Hospital, Australia were she predominantly worked with adults with a variety of conditions; including musculoskeletal, neurological, rehabilitation, women’s health and cardiorespiratory.

It was in 2007 that Belinda developed a passion for paediatrics and moved to Brisbane to work at a large tertiary hospital, Mater Children’s Hospital, Brisbane, Australia.

In 2009, Belinda was fortunate to take on a paediatric research position with the highly influential and accomplished paediatric developmental physiotherapist Professor Yvonne Burns. Belinda actively took on the role as the interventionist for a pilot study assessing the effects of a structured group exercise program on the balance and coordination of four year olds born extremely preterm. The intervention program was a great success and has now led to funding towards a randomised control trial with the hope of distributing this new knowledge throughout the world.

Belinda moved from the beautiful sunny Australia in August 2010 to take advantage of the wonderful Whistler lifestyle. She is a keen snow boarder and has developed a biking craze!

Belinda is a very flexible and adaptive therapist who enjoys thinking outside the box. It is this approach that enables Belinda to tailor your therapy to specifically address your needs and maximise your recovery.
