Bita is physiotherapist with dual interest in orthopedic and neurology physiotherapy. She has more than 10 years of clinical experience in treating musculoskeletal injuries and neurological conditions.

Bita utilizes a combination of education, therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, taping, soft tissue techniques, and adjunctive modalities to achieve patient success. She has worked with many various orthopedic patient populations including post-surgical, workers compensation, motor vehicle accident, and private patients. Bita is keen about continuing her education with post-graduate courses to expand his knowledge and skill set to be a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy. Bita has also worked in the area of neurorehabilitation since 2005, and she has a special interest in the neuroplasticity and neurorehabilitation of the stroke, Multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s Disease, neuropathies, and brain tumor patients. Bita completed her doctoral studies at Monash University, Australia in 2016 investigating the effects of the cutting-edge methods of neuroplasticity, brain and spinal cord stimulation techniques to reduce neuropathic pain and improve the function of neural system. Bita also held a scientific research associate position at University of Calgary, the Faculty of Medicine for three years, and authored and co-authored of a number of high-ranked peer reviewed publications showing how neuromodulation of the brain and spinal cord can help patients with neurological conditions like stroke and spinal cord injury.

Bita utilizes the NDT (neurodevelopmental treatment) and Bobath models to frame her practice in neurorehabilitation. These models involve problem-solving approaches based on an individual’s clinical presentation and personal goals.

She enjoys working with clients of all ages and backgounds, and strives to educate and empower everyone so that they can make informed decisions throughout their recovery.
