Brennen is a graduate of the University of Alberta with a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy. Prior to completing his Physical Therapy degree, he completed a Bachelor of Science degree, with Distinction, specializing in Physiology and Developmental Biology.

The decision for Brennen to pursue a career in Physical Therapy and work in his home community of St. Albert was an easy one. Growing up, Brennen competed in a variety of sports but developed his greatest passions for soccer and hockey. Throughout his years of soccer competition with the St. Albert Impact and Edmonton Drillers, Brennen was heavily involved with team trainers and physical therapists. He grew to love the physiotherapy profession which he found allowed for strong connections to be made between a therapist and the athlete/patient who was pursuing their personal goals and opportunities.

Brennen's goal as a Physical Therapist is to create an individualized “game plan” for each of his patients, allowing them to understand their injury and recognize each of the necessary steps required to reach and surpass their pre-injury level of function. Working alongside his patients, he aims to empower his patients in the processes of injury recognition, rehabilitation and prevention.

He is extremely enthusiastic about working with anyone and everyone who comes through the doors at Active Physio Works. From those who have suffered a new injury, to someone who is looking to get a start on living an active pain free life and everyone in between; Brennen is excited by his patient’s potential for progress and success.

When he is not working, Brennen is likely taking part in one of his favorite activities including supporting the Oilers as they vie for a playoff spot, playing and coaching Men’s Division 1 Soccer and youth soccer, playing men’s rec hockey and pond hockey, escaping to the mountains for some skiing, camping and fishing, or trying to fix the many, many issues in his golf game!
