Brittany is from Newfoundland and graduated from Dalhousie University with a Master of Science in Physiotherapy. She also completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
Brittany has since completed post-graduate courses in Functional Dry Needling (FDN/IMS), Level 1 of Advanced Orthopedic Manual Therapy and Neuro-Proprioceptive Taping. She has also become certified in the Integrated Shoulder Rehabilitation (ISR) program, which involves taking an active exercise based approach to help rehabilitate various shoulder injuries. Brittany is planning to complete her Level 2 Advanced Orthopedic Manual Therapy later this year.
Her approach to treatment includes the use of a variety of techniques including manual therapy, soft tissue mobilization, dry needling, education, functional movement assessments and individualized exercise prescription to help her patients reach their goals, and address muscular imbalance, postural and biomechanical issues. She has experience in treating muscular and ligamentous issues, pre and post-surgical rehabilitation and various other musculoskeletal issues.
Brittany leads an active lifestyle outside of the clinic and enjoys running, playing ball hockey, hiking and cross country skiing.
