Celina is a qualified Occupational Therapist licensed to practice in Ontario and is registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. She graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2019. Prior to this she completed an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2016. Celina is a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists.
As an occupational therapist, Celina works with individuals who are experiencing a variety of physical, psychosocial, environmental barriers to recovery. This can range from conducting home assessments to ensure individuals are safe in their home; providing strategies to improve sleep and pain management; assisting in return-to-work planning after an accident, and much more. Through work and education, Celina has gained experience in a variety of practice settings including private practice, hospital care, rehabilitation (mental health and physical health). She has worked with children, adults, and older adults.
Celina has completed additional courses in concussion management, cognitive behavioural therapy, ergonomics, mental health first aid, and cognitive abilities evaluations. She is also trained to provide the Progressive Goal Attainment Program, an evidence based treatment program for reducing disability associated with pain, depression, PTSD, cancer, and other chronic health conditions.
