Chang has his level III certification for manual therapy from the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and a certification in medical acupuncture from McMaster University. He has been practicing physical therapy since his graduation in 2007 from the University of Montreal. He worked at the Montreal Heart Institute from 2007 to 2008 with cardiac patients and continued his practice at one of the biggest private physical rehabilitation network in Quebec from 2008 to 2017. In February 2018, he moved to Toronto and joined Lifemark shortly after.
Throughout his work as a clinician, Chang was able to develop scientific knowledge and specific manual skills. He graduated with a Master in Healthcare Administration in 2016 from the University of Montreal School of Public Health. His interests in international development, project management and process optimization brought him to Haiti in February 2016 where he completed an internship at the Hospital la Providence des Gonaïves.
Chang enjoys travelling and has a keen interest in fitness and athletics, running half-marathons yearly.
