Colleen graduated with a Master in Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2013 and holds a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Calgary. She has a keen interest in research in the area of physiotherapy and her research work has been presented at international conferences as well as being published in peer-reviewed journals. Colleen’s physiotherapy practice focuses on the identification of non-optimal biomechanics and the use of manual therapy and exercise prescription to address this. Colleen has a keen interest in pursuing post-graduate education opportunities and has completed training in manual therapy through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, traditional dry needling and K taping. She also works with the Banff Sports Medicine team of orthopaedic surgeons with rehabilitation and research after knee (ACL and MPFL) surgeries as well as being part of an exciting new collaboration with orthopaedic surgeons in Calgary through the Shoulder Surgical Review and Integrated Shoulder Rehabilitation programs with the Worker’s Compensation Board of Alberta. Colleen grew up in the small town of Invermere, B.C. and has been an avid lover of the outdoors from a young age. She can be found in the mountains most weekends spending time with her family and friends.
