Desiree completed all of her post-secondary education in Manitoba, including a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (2004), Legal Administrative Diploma (2006), and Master of Occupational Therapy (2011). After graduating with her OT education, Desiree went on to work in government, non-profit, and private sectors.
Through various roles throughout her career, she has been responsible for providing a wide range of supervisory and clinical services, with extensive work in case management. As an occupational therapist, she believes in looking through a holistic lens while taking a person-centered approach. In December 2018, Desiree joined Lifemark where her main area of specialty is in providing occupational therapy services to individuals participating in the occupational rehabilitation programs.
Desiree is a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and the College or Occupational Therapists of British Columbia.
Since moving to Kelowna in November 2017, Desiree continues to enjoy exploring everything her new city has to offer.
