Emily is an Exercise Therapist who graduated with a Master of Science in Sport and Clinical Biomechanics from Liverpool John Moores University in the United Kingdom. She also holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree from the University of Guelph in Human Kinetics.
Emily has experience working with a wide array of patient populations. She has clinical expertise in the prevention of workplace overuse injuries and has supported patients with varying severity of workplace injuries/medical setbacks throughout their return-to-work program. Clinically, she has also worked with youth athletes experiencing neurological trauma. She has also worked with amateur to high performance athletes, where she validated novel product development for major sportswear companies such as Adidas, FILA and Superfeet.
As an Exercise Therapist at Lifemark, Emily works to use exercise as a tool to help patients regain their independence after a set back. She believes that exercise is medicine and should be used as a larger part of overall health. In her spare time, Emily is an avid sports enthusiast and an excellent baker.
