About

Emma graduated with a Master of Science in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University in 2018 after completing a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia. Emma is currently progressing through the manual therapy levels with the Orthopedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and has also taken courses regarding the McKenzie method for the lumbar spine and Shirley Sahrmann movement impairment syndromes.

Emma has a keen interest in manual therapy and orthopedics and strongly believes in the importance of exercise and education throughout the rehabilitation process. Emma has experience treating a variety of musculoskeletal injuries, including sports injuries, chronic conditions, pre and post-operative rehabilitation, motor vehicle accidents and work-related injuries. Her focus is on injury recovery, as well as prevention, while optimizing overall health and wellness. Emma is looking to further her physiotherapy toolkit by pursuing courses in dry needling and manual therapy in the near future.

Emma grew up in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and is happy to call Calgary her new home! In her free time, Emma enjoys staying active outdoors by hiking and biking, and also enjoys weightlifting, playing volleyball and participating in spin and yoga classes
