About

Frankie graduated with a Bachelors in Medical Rehabiliation from the University of Manitoba in 2011, where he was presented the AJ Fernando leadership award for the student who best promoted the Physical therapy profession. Prior to completing the Physical therapy program he completed a degree in Kinesiology where he graduated with Distinction. Frankie is also trained and certified in Functional Dry Needling, Acupuncture (Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute) and is currently a level II and working towards a diploma in Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy. He is currently a member of the Orthopaedic and Sports division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Frankie's physiotherapy practice incorporates a 3 step process. 1. A methodical and detalied assement aimed at solving the underline cause of musculoskeletal injuries/impairments/pain. 2. Utilizing manual therapy techniques, acupuncture, Functional Dry Needling and other modalities to reduce symptoms and restore function. 3. Developing an exercise based program that suits the client's lifestyle to maintain and prevent recurence of musculoskeletal dysfunction. He is a strong believer that good communication and an active treatment plan will result in better success. Frankie is constantly interested in pursuing further education to enhance his physiotherapy practice and widen his scope of knowledge. In his free time Frankie enjoys many sports and once played high level hockey and baseball through his university years. Today he likes to keep fit by continuing to play hockey and baseball at the recreational level which leaves more room for his other loves (golf, curling and tennis). Living so close to the mountains he is also looking forward at enhancing his skiing skills. When he is not playing sports and staying active, Frankie enjoys travelling and is working towards his goal of visiting each Major League Baseball Stadium (20 stadiums to go). With his free time in the evenings, Frankie is hoping to combine his love of sports and physiotherapy to volunteer with a local team as a trainer/physical therapist.
