She has managed an extensive caseload of clients who have sustained, orthopedic, psychosocial, cognitive and/or physical impairment due to illness and or injury impacting return to work and other activities of daily living.
Gabrielle is trained in functional capacity evaluation, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy and the Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP). She has also completed courses on working with individuals with chronic pain, depression, and anxiety. She has received additional training in ergonomics, cognitive demands analysis, cognitive abilities evaluation and cognitive rehabilitation, as well as concussion rehab.
She is passionate about coaching and motivating clients to reach their goals, no matter how small, and facilitating their return to meaningful occupations. She has a particular interest in the benefits of physical activity on a client’s psychological health and overall wellbeing, which aligns with her passions for exercise and mental health advocacy.
Gabrielle joined Lifemark in 2017, first working in her home province of New Brunswick. As of 2019, Gabrielle is happy to be back in Nova Scotia. She now provides occupational therapy to adults and seniors with physical, cognitive and mental health challenges in the Halifax area.
