Originally from Fredericton NB, Heather joined the Lifemark Team in 2015 as a kinesiologist. She recently became a certified Workwell Functional Capacity Evaluator and has been a certified member of the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association since 2000. 

Heather graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 1992 with a Bachelor in Physical Education. During that time, her studies focused on sport science and extensive practicum courses in athletic therapy. To pursue a career in athletic therapy, Heather completed a three-year diploma of Sports Injury Management at Sheridan College in Oakville, ON and passed the national certification exams in 2000 to become a certified athletic therapist. 

Heather pursued a career in the hockey world and worked four seasons with the Penticton Panther’s Junior A hockey team from 2000 to 2004 where she acted as the coordinator of medical and rehabilitation and worked with the Panther's elite hockey players aged 14 to 18 from around the world. During the off season, Heather worked for the Okanagan Hockey School in Penticton, BC and coordinated a daily clinic to assess and treat injured players participating in the International Development Tournament. 
In 2005, Heather pursued new adventures and moved to Calgary, AB and where she was a part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team as a clinical athletic therapist. In 2006, Heather pursued a new career to broaden her experiences while using her athletic therapy background as an insurance company accident benefits adjustor for five years before moving on to work as an adjudicator for the Workers Compensation Board of Alberta. Heather enjoyed helping individuals go through the process of their claims and guiding their journey, often, through the one most difficult times in their lives.
