Jaclyn graduated with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Dalhousie University in 2013 after completing a biology/psychology degree at St. Mary’s University in 2011. Jacklyn has completed training in Workwell Functional Capacity Evaluations, Cancer C.A.R.E, Cognitive Demands Analysis, Cognitive Abilities Evaluations, Mental Health First Aid, Motivational interviewing, IMPACT training, Vestibular therapy, concussion therapy and a concussion management workshop, IMPACT visual therapy and Neuro Visual Postural Therapy levels 1-3.
Jaclyn has been a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists since 2013. Jaclyn is keen to continue educating herself through various courses and bettering herself as an Occupational Therapist. She is currently interested in pursuing further education on concussion, in particular in reference to the visual, cognitive and mental health trajectories. Jaclyn enjoys working with individuals to help them regain their independence and reach their optimal level of function. She believes in a healthy lifestyle which encompasses both the physical and mental components.
Jaclyn has a passion for fitness and staying active. She currently enjoys running, CrossFit and staying active with her dog. Jaclyn completed her first half maraton in 2013. Her future fitness goals are to complete another half marathon and compete in Cross Fit competitions.
