Jaime provides rehabilitation for all forms of orthopedic conditions and works with patients of any age. Her interests extend to working with individuals injured in motor vehicle accidents, those with work injuries, post-surgical patients (joint replacements, shoulder, knee and ankle reconstructions and more) and working with older adults for fall prevention. She will work with you to individualize your treatment so that it is functional and relevant to your condition and goals.
Her treatments will focus on aiding your recovery with therapeutic exercise, hands-on therapy (joint mobilizations, stretching, deep tissue massage) and education. Modalities such as heat, ice, and therapeutic machines (ultrasound, TENS, etc.) may also be included for symptom management.
Jaime is a graduate of the Master of Science in Physical Therapy program from the University of Alberta. In the future, she is interested in pursuing additional education in acupuncture and chronic pain management, and maybe one-day the burgeoning field of animal rehabilitation.
Jaime is from rural northern Alberta and was an avid hockey, basketball, and volleyball player growing up. Apart from sports, her interests include yoga, travelling and hanging out with her friends, family and adorable dog. Jaime also speaks basic Spanish.
