James graduated from the University of Alberta in 2005 with a degree in Physical Therapy. After working in Sherwood Park for several years, he moved to Perth Australia to complete his Masters degree in Manipulative Physical Therapy at Curtin University. There he learned advanced musculoskeletal assessment and treatment skills in an international program.
James became certified by the Titleist Performance Institute level 1 and has enjoyed the opportunity of working with golf athletes of all skill levels on both injury prevention and movement analysis. He is proficient in Dry Needling, having taken advanced training from Kineticore Functional Dry Needling education. In Australia James had the opportunity to work with semi-professional sports and gain clinical instruction experience at Curtin University.
James is very familiar with the community having grown up locally and playing sport in Sherwood Park. He continues to volunteer with the Salisbury Composite Football program as a past coach and current trainer. James was also a consultant with the Edmonton Wildcats Football Club during the 2014 season and is a member of their alumni.
