Jared graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta. He graduated with an Advanced Certificate in Athletic Therapy from Mount Royal College and obtained certification as a Canadian Athletic Therapist. He also obtained a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Manitoba.
Jared has completed a wide variety of post-graduate education courses. He has completed training in acupuncture through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute and is a certified acupuncture practitioner. Jared has completed level 1 and level 2 courses to become a certified Graston practitioner. He provides instrument assisted soft-tissue mobilization treatments with Graston instruments. Jared has completed level 2 manual therapy upper and lower quadrant courses through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. He has completed levels 1 and 2 of the FITforeGolf physical therapy program. Jared has completed the Dr. Stuart McGill Building the Ultimate Back from Rehabilitation to High Performance course. He has also completed other courses including Sports First Responder, EMR, athletic taping, Hockey Canada safety, certified fitness consultant course, and levels 1 and 2 of the National Coaching Certification Program for hockey.
Jared has worked as an athletic therapist for hockey, football, and volleyball teams and has provided therapy coverage for the Western Canada Summer Games. He also has provided sport therapy coverage for soccer, basketball, rugby, track and field, and gymnastic events. Jared worked as an instructor / team leader for the Edge Hockey School, Manitoba Moose Hockey School, and Theoren Fleury Hockey School.
Jared has many years of experience playing competitive hockey and baseball and also enjoys playing golf and all aspects of coaching and sport. Jared enjoys being active and spending time with his wife and three young children.
