Jenny graduated from UBC with a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology in 2017. Starting her early career in kinesiology, her experience with motor vehicle and work-related injuries gave her an in depth look into its psychological impact. She realized her natural inclination towards helping her clients in a different way beyond the physical rehabilitation and chose to shift her professional focus to psychology.
Jenny brings authenticity and compassion that builds a foundation of trust and understanding to her therapy practice. She works collaboratively with her clients by actively listening to their concerns, measuring progress through review of established outcomes, and empowering the client to participate in their own recovery. Combining supportive therapy and cognitive-behavioural therapy, Jenny utilizes client-tailored techniques to help them alleviate distressing symptoms, improve function and reduce mental and physical comorbidity.
When she's not working, she can be found hiking and camping the backcountry, exploring Vancouver's diverse food scene, and just being with her rescue dog.
