Joe graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2011 with a Bachelor of Kinesiology and an athletic therapy major. He worked as an athletic therapist while attending physiotherapy school at the University of Manitoba. He graduated with a Master of Physical Therapy in 2014 and has been practising as a physiotherapist ever since. Joe was in Brandon for four years prior to joining Lifemark.
Joe has completed many continuing education courses through the years, including up to level 3 of the manual therapy courses offered through the Canadian Orthopaedic Division, soft-tissue release and acupuncture. Based on the education learned through taking these courses, and with the experience gained while training and practicing as an athletic therapist, he believes that the most successful form of treatment is one that can combine all forms of therapy (exercise, manual/hands on treatment and patient education) in order to tailor to the needs of each patient individually.
Joe was born and raised in northern Manitoba and is proud to call Norway House, Manitoba his hometown. He likes to spend his down time being physically active training for half marathons, playing golf, tennis and hockey and weight training. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys his time watching his two favourite sports teams from Pittsburgh, the Steelers and Penguins.
