Julie is an experienced physiotherapist who gears her practice towards rehabilitating sports related injuries, the management of pre and post-operative orthopedic injuries, and has a keen interest in knee injuries. Julie graduated from the University of Calgary in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and then went on to finish her Master's degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Alberta in 2012. Since graduating Julie has gone on to complete many courses to further diversify her practice.

She is certified and very skilled in the use of functional dry needling as well as acupuncture for the treatment of pain and movement disorders. She is currently on her way to completing the manual therapy levels through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, and has also studied in advanced hip rehabilitation.

Julie is currently working as a physiotherapist with the Canadian Para-Alpine Ski Team that has allowed her to travel to the Sochi 2014 and PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Games as a medical team member. She has also worked with the Canadian Men's Water Polo Team and many other national level athletes.

Julie plans to continue furthering her education in orthopaedic rehabilitation and actively participates in educating physiotherapy students in their education. Julie has a very strong background in competitive sport, as she was a competitive alpine ski racer and raced for the Canadian National Ski Team. Upon retiring from competitive sport, Julie took up a coaching role for younger racers for several years.

Currently, Julie is still involved in many outdoor pursuits and is currently learning the ropes at CrossFit! She spends much of her time running the trails around Calgary and the Rocky Mountains and then recovering on her yoga mat.
