Kathryn graduated wih a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from Dalhousie University in Halifax in 1997. After gaining both inpatient and outpatient orthopedic experience in her hometown of St. John's NL, she moved to Calgary in 1998 and began her private practice career. She has been with Lifemark since 2000 and enjoys a busy sports medicine practice treating a varied clientele ranging from professional athletes to elderly arthritic patients and everything in between, including MVA, WCB, and post surgical clients among others.

Since graduating, she has continued to further her education through a variety of post graduate training in acupuncture, motor point needling, manual therapy, exercise therapy, post MVA rehabilitation, spinal stabilization, Mulligan techniques, and more, including most recently, courses in cancer rehabilitation. Kathryn is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and the Alberta College of Physical Therapists. She takes an active role in developing the profession through the mentoring of physiotherapy students and foreign trained therapists as well as participation in various research studies.

She believes in being an active member of the community and has volunteered physiotherapy services for many teams and events including Junior B hockey,U-12 tennis, and lacrosse. She also regularly volunteers with Alberta Ballet, providing physiotherapy services to the dancers prior to each performance. Kathryn has a keen interest in promoting healthy living and believes in education as the best tool to prevent injury, often giving injury prevention talks to local sports clubs such as swimming and running groups.

In her spare time, Kathryn enjoys spending as much time as possible "outside and moving" and is an avid recreational runner, cyclist, xc skier, and triathlete. She has completed 3 Ironman triathlons and multiple marathons, all with a smile on her face, and has also participated in 3 long distance (400-4000km) cycling trips raising over $30,000 for a local cancer support organization.
