Kelsey graduated from the University of Alberta with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy. Born and raised in Fort Saskatchewan, Kelsey is very excited to begin her career in the community she grew up in.
Kelsey’s passion for physiotherapy began when she had to seek rehab for a serious knee injury of her own she sustained playing high school rugby. After two years working with her physiotherapist she knew she wanted to help others in the same way.
Kelsey played competitive ringette for 15 years, over that time she competed in 2 Canadian National Ringette Championships and in the 2011 Canada Winter Games for Team Alberta.
Kelsey believes in a patient centered approach to therapy where she hopes to gain a thorough understanding of the individual and their goals for physio. This collaborative approach allows her to create an individualized rehabilitation program tailored to her client’s specific set problems, lifestyle, and abilities. She applies a combination of manual therapy, functional exercise, and therapeutic modalities to achieve positive outcomes. With detailed home programs and proper client education her goal is to teach her clients to better understand their injuries and promote health conscious and active lifestyles.
Kelsey keeps active outside of the clinic, playing ringette in an Open ‘A’ Women’s League during the winter months and in the summer, tries her best to get out to the family cabin to kayak, bike ride, and wakeboard.
