Kezia graduated from the University of Alberta with a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy. Prior to this she completed a Bachelors of Kinesiology with distinction where she created a personalized major in Adapted Sports Performance.
Her decision to become a physiotherapist started after high school when she was pursuing rock climbing and dance and realized that she wanted to help as many people as she could get back to doing what they love. She enjoys treating patients ranging from babies to teenagers and loves balancing keeping her sessions engaging and effective. She has had two placements in pediatrics at the Stollery and Alberta Children’s Hospital which have helped her be equipped to treat head shape concerns, motor delays, coordination concerns, and sport related injuries.
Her practicum during her undergraduate degree continued to fuel her love of movement as she worked for Power To Be to get individuals with varying degrees of mobility active outside with everything from stand up paddle boarding to hiking. These experiences helped shape Kezia’s mentality that there is no single track back to movement.
Kezia is eager to provide individualized treatment from anyone and everyone aims to make every treatment as fun as physio can be! She believes in collaborating closely with her patients to find out what is most important to them. Using an evidence-based approach to use and different tools such as manual therapy, prescribed exercise, modalities, manual therapy, and patient education she is committed to getting you back to your life.
Outside the clinic you can find Kezia pursuing her passions. Rock climbing, running, hiking, and kayaking are her favourite methods to keep active and to refuel after she enjoys ice-cream and hanging out with her sheepadoodle, Wally.
