Lauren is a 2011 graduate of the University of British Columbia's Master of Physiotherapy program and Bachelor of Human Kinetics program. While at UBC, she was short-listed for the Rhodes Scholarship. She is a former Team Canada track and field 400 metre hurdler and bronze medallist at the Canadian Track and Field Championships.
Lauren is part of a specialized group of physiotherapists in Canada with training that allows her to assess and treat men’s and women’s pelvic floor concerns, including pregnancy and post-partum, bowel and bladder incontinence, constipation, prolapse, and pelvic pain. In addition to her pelvic health expertise,
Lauren is highly passionate about getting her patients back to the sports/activities they love, and has extensive experience in rehabilitating traumatic injuries, including post-surgical, vestibular rehabilitation, and sports injuries. Lauren also has experience treating a wide range of sports and orthopaedic conditions, including those related to motor vehicle and workplace injuries.
Lauren is certified by Acupuncture Canada and has post-graduate training in vestibular rehabilitation, manual therapy, functional movement screening, and selective functional movement assessment.
Lauren co-authored research published in The Rheumatologist on tracking the outcomes for joint replacement surgery.
Outside of the clinic, you’ll find Lauren rock climbing, running, and cycling with her baby son in their cargo bike.
