Leah was drawn towards physical therapy when she began volunteering at Little Bits Therapeutic Riding in the third year of her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry. During her time volunteering, she developed a passion to help people reach their physical goals, improve their daily lives, and help make exercise meaningful and fun.
Leah went on to pursue these passions at the University of Alberta and graduated with her Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2018. During this time, she became interested in chronic pain, what drives it, and how to help those who have it. She also has a strong interest in preventing and treating sports injuries, keeping athletes in the game. Leah also enjoys helping older adults improve their physical fitness and balance.
Leah ensures her treatment plans are designed to achieve the goals developed by her clients. She believes that physical therapy is not simply about improving flexibility or strength, but a collaborative effort to get people back to what they love.
When Leah is out of the clinic, you’ll find her riding her horse, trail running, or at the gym. You may also find her digging some volleyballs, or out on the soccer pitch.
