Lindsay grew up in Kamloops, British Columbia where she attended Thompson Rivers University and obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration through the School of Business and Economics. Upon graduation, Lindsay moved to Edmonton and completed a Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta. While studying in Edmonton, Lindsay volunteered with many physical activity programs including the rhythmic gymnastics program with Special Olympics Edmonton, and the Dance Without Limits program with the Cerebral Palsy Association of Alberta. As a former competitive artistic gymnast, Lindsay has a particular interest in rehabilitating athletes.
Lindsay believes in a patient-centered approach to rehabilitation and develops customized and individualized rehabilitation programs for her patients. She utilizes manual therapy, functional exercises, and therapeutic modalities to help patients achieve their goals. She believes in continuing education and has completed her Complete Concussion Management training, as well as pursuing post-graduate courses with the orthopaedic division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
Outside of work Lindsay enjoys being active and loves running, yoga, and tennis. She also currently works part-time in the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Alberta as a Research Project Coordinator where she is working on a study focused on rehabilitation for patients with Multiple Sclerosis.
