Lora graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy. She has been an integral part of the Hazelwood team since 2004. Since graduation, Lora has continued her post-graduate training and has completed a variety of courses including courses in craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, myofascial release techniques, rehabilitation after breast cancer, exercise for individuals with osteoporosis, pre- and post-natal exercise, and Pilates. Lora has an advanced diploma in manual and manipulative therapy which is the highest designation in the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy. She is a member of the International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapists. She is also a Certified Gunn IMS (intramuscular stimulation) practitioner.
Lora has extensive experience working with clients of all ages and activity levels in sports and orthopaedic private physiotherapy settings. She is passionate about working with her clients to provide personalized treatment which helps them recover from pain and injuries and returns them to doing the activities they enjoy. Her broad training enables Lora to design highly individualized rehabilitation programs for her clients which combine hands-on treatment with education and instruction in a variety of exercises.
Lora swam competitively while growing up in the Greater Vancouver area. Now she enjoys yoga and running and exploring the local mountains through snowshoeing and hiking.
