Maia grew up on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. Drawn to healthcare and rehabilitation, she proceeded to enroll in the massage therapy program at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy where she graduated in May 2022 with honors. In school, she learned traditional Swedish massage techniques, Myofascial release, Trigger point therapy as well as cupping and hydrotherapy modalities.

Maia wanted to use massage as a way to continue to learn about the human body while helping people get back to doing what they love and plans to further ​her education by pursuing a sports massage certification and other modalities to make sure patients are getting the most out of their treatments.

When not in the clinic Maia enjoys being by the ocean, swimming laps in the pool, going to sporting events and spending time with friends and family.
