Mayra is a well-rounded physiotherapist who graduated in 2008 with experience in the areas of orthopaedic, pelvic health, neurology, and general medicine. She has rehabilitated patients with orthopedic and athletic injuries such as fractures, low back pain, joint, muscle and ligament injuries, as well as other musculoskeletal disorders using techniques such as therapeutic exercises and Pilates.
With her experience, she has helped patients with metabolic conditions to control diabetes and obesity by working together with other health care professionals to achieve better results for her clients.
Mayra has advanced training and experience in pelvic floor health, treating conditions such a urinary incontinence, organ prolapse, and pelvic pain. Through her pelvic-floor practice, she has helped to improve the quality of life of numerous patients including women in menopause, pre- and post-pregnancy, and seniors. She is passionate about pelvic health and currently is interested in advanced pelvic floor therapies such as the Rost Therapy and gastrointestinal disorders and the pelvic floor.
Mayra is a good listener, giving her strong conviction of the necessity for delivering personalized treatment to address the specific needs of patients using a biopsychosocial approach.
