Nerissa completed her Master of Physiotherapy degree at Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland and her Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences at McMaster University. Nerissa found her passion for musculoskeletal and orthopaedic rehabilitation after working as a student physiotherapist for a local Scottish rugby club. Her favorite part about treating orthopaedic injuries is diagnosing the problem, finding ways to rehabilitate without surgical intervention, and educating patients so they can feel empowered to accomplish their goals.

Nerissa has completed further training in sports massage, acute stroke assessment using the Alpha-FIM, as well as post-covid rehabilitation. She is currently working on her orthopaedic levels through the Orthopaedic Division and is interested in completing her acupuncture and vestibular rehabilitation training.

Nerissa was born in Oman, moved to Canada when she was 11, and grew up in Mississauga ever since. She attributes her outgoing personality to her big family, and her encounters with individuals of different backgrounds when traversing through Europe. When outside the clinic, Nerissa can be found playing tennis, smiling at your dog, and trying to keep up with all her downloaded podcasts.
