About

As well as being an experienced physiotherapist, Rod is also a chiropractor having received education and licensing in both professions. In fact, he was the first person in Alberta to be licensed in both chiropractic and physiotherapy. This unique background allows him to focus on multiple hands-on manual therapies as well as stretching and strengthening programs that will enable patients to quickly return to doing the things that they love!

As well as the physiotherapy and chiropractic training, Rod has taken additional training in the treatment of motor vehicular collision patients (through the Spine Research Institute of San Diego) as well as Active Release Therapy, acupunture, IMS (dry needling), Graston technique, concussion therapy, TMD (jaw) treatment and myofascial therapy.

In his personal life, Rod is an ultramarathon runner who has completed several ultramarathons of 100 miles or more as well as multiple ironman triathlons. He has even run back and forth across the Grand Canyon twice. In 2023, Rod successfully completed a 100 mile running race across the Arizona desert and in 2024 he will be one of a handful of Canadians invited for the 100 mile Leadville Ultramarathon running race across the Colorado Rockies.
