About

Ron graduated with a Bachelor in Science Physical Therapy from Queen’s University in 1994 and a Bachelor in Physical and Health Education from Queen’s University in 1991. He has been a member of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and the Canadian Physiotherapy Association since 1994. Ron has taken a wide variety of post-graduate education courses including manual therapy, soft tissue release and Fit For Golf.

Ron’s theory of practice is that the human body has been created with a great capacity to heal itself after injury. His goal with patients is to thoroughly assess their condition and then prescribe appropriate therapies to assist in the healing process. He believes that active treatment with appropriate exercise prescription is the key to successful recovery. He also uses manual therapy techniques as well as other therapeutic modalities. His focus is to educate and equip the patient so they may progress to an independent program.

Ron enjoys many outdoor activities in the Collingwood area with his wife and six children. He keeps himself active with weight training and baseball. He coaches both baseball and track and field in Collingwood. At Queen’s University, Ron was a first Team All Canadian at centre for the football team and a 1991 CFL draft pick of the Edmonton Eskimos. He also was a thrower on the Queen’s varsity track and field team.
