He believes in a patient-centered approach to physical therapy, creating treatment plans individual to each patient's personal goals, hobbies, and lifestyle. He applies a combination of manual therapy techniques, functional exercise, and therapeutic modalities to help patients achieve these goals, based on the most up to date research evidence in the field. Sam is an orthopedic manual therapist and has completed his Complete Concussion Management training, though he is eager to expand his knowledge with further continuing education courses in the coming year.
Prior to becoming a physical therapist, Sam was involved in many different sports and spent the better part of his life as a competitive athlete, predominately lacrosse and football. Throughout this time, Sam dealt with many injuries of his own, sparking his interest in physical therapy and rehabilitation medicine.
Sam keeps very active outside of work, still participating in many recreational sporting activities. He is an avid weightlifter and can often be found in the gym when he is not working in the clinic. He enjoys a wide variety of water sports in the summer and makes a habit of traveling to the mountains for a few ski trips a year in the winter.
