Sam graduated from the University of Toronto in 2019 with a Bachelor’s of Kinesiology with High Honors. He then went on to complete his MScPT at Queen’s University in 2021. While at Queen’s, he had the opportunity to gain experience in varying Physical Therapy settings such as acute care, private practice, chronic pain clinics, sports injury clinics, and student-run pilot programs. These clinical placements gave Sam many opportunities to hone his physical therapy skills such as soft tissue mobilization, soft tissue release, joint mobilization, taping, exercise prescription, and the use of modalities. He also had many mentors who inspired him to try different therapies such as different breathing/relaxation techniques, sleep hygiene interventions, and novel concussion management strategies.
Aside from school, Sam has many years of experience working as a PTA, personal training, and teaching anatomy and biomechanics at the university level. He is passionate about applying modern approaches to anatomy, biomechanics, and physiology to his patient care practices. He views education as one of the strongest tools in the PT arsenal and hopes to share his knowledge with his patients and colleagues.
Sam is a triplet from Montclair, New Jersey. He is also an avid rock-climber - he represented his local region at national competitions in the US on numerous occasions throughout his youth. He still climbs but has switched gears from competitive to casual so he can focus more on helping and healing others in his community.
