About

Sarah moved from Vancouver in 2010 to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary. Following this, Sarah completed a Master of Science in Physiotherapy at the University of Alberta, graduating in 2015.

Sarah takes a hands-on approach to her physiotherapy practice, focusing on various forms of manual therapy, including soft-tissue release, joint mobilizations and muscle energy techniques. Sarah also provides her clients with individually-tailored therapeutic exercise programs and education regarding their injuries. She believes in empowering her clients to be active participants in their rehabilitation and works with individuals to address their unique rehabilitation needs. Sarah is certified to treat using acupuncture through Acupuncture Canada. She is also certified in functional dry needling (IMS) through KinetaCore. Sarah has also completed advanced manual therapy training through the Canadian Orthopaedic Division of Physical Therapy.

Sarah is also a certified Pelvic Health Physiotherapist and is able to treat women and men with conditions such as urinary and bowel incontinence, urinary urgency and frequency, pelvic organ prolapse, chronic pelvic or lower abdominal pain, constipation, Diastasis Recti, dyspareunia (painful intercourse), and general pelvic floor dysfunction. Sarah has a keen interest in working with pregnant and post-partum individuals and enjoys helping birthing parents prepare for labour and delivery and safely return to sport and activity during the post-partum period.

Sarah's background as a professional dancer is what motivated her to become a physiotherapist, and she enjoys working with dancers of various styles and techniques. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys skiing, yoga and spending time with her family.
