Sarah is a physical therapist who enjoys working with diverse clientele of all ages, with a special interest in running and cycling performance and injury prevention. She is a strong believer in the body’s ability to heal through exercise and movement, and encourages clients to take an active role in their treatment. She is working towards her diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy, and integrates a variety of manual therapy and soft tissue techniques to facilitate recovery.
Sarah takes an evidence-informed approach to client care and is passionate about empowerment through education, ensuring you leave your appointment with an understanding of your condition and the rehabilitation process.
Born and raised in Calgary, Sarah obtained her degree in Exercise and Health Physiology from University of Calgary before pursuing her Master's degree in Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia. While at UBC, she explored the role of physical therapy in falls-prevention and chronic disease management, emploring rehabilitation strategies to improve the lives of clients with cancer, chronic lung and heart conditions, osteoporosis, orthopedic conditions, and arthritis.
Sarah is an athlete at heart, having competed across the Pacific Northwest in road and mountain biking, and internationally in standard distance triathlon. During her university years, Sarah ran cross country and track with the varsity teams in Calgary and Vancouver, competing in distances from 800m to the marathon. She continues to enjoy all forms of cycling, running, skiing, hiking, and general outdoor fun. When not outside, you will find Sarah spending time with her partner, baking copious amounts of desserts, and scrolling through the latest research in rehabilitation.
