Sheila graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2011 and a Bachelor in Human Kinetics from the University of British Columbia in 2009.

Since graduating, Sheila has been actively pursuing post-graduate courses. She currently has her intermediate manual and manipulation diploma from the orthopaedic division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and her functional dry needling (IMS) certification. She has also taken courses is headache management, acupuncture, K-taping and soft-tissue treatment techniques.

Sheila is involved in mentorship and education for physiotherapy and kinesiology students through various educational institutions.

She has worked with a diverse array of clients – from athletes wishing to summit the next mountain to people wanting to get back to putting on their jacket without pain. Her belief is that each client’s injury, goals and thus rehabilitation are unique to them. She believes that the best care is evidence based and provides a holistic treatment focus that addresses education, exercises and manual therapy.

Outside of work, Sheila spends a lot of time chasing after a toddler, playing soccer, skiing, hiking and running.
