Since obtaining her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1996 at the University of Saskatchewan, Shelley has worked in multiple clinic and employer settings, and continues to do so.

She trained as a vestibular therapist under Sheelah Woodhouse (National Director of Vestibular Rehabilitation for Lifemark) at the Dizziness and Balance Centre in Calgary from 2004-2006. She completed Dr. Herdman’s Vestibular Rehabilitation: A Competency-Based Course in Atlanta, Georgia in 2005. Shelley joined the Lifemark team in 2006 and has since worked as a vestibular therapist at numerous Lifemark clinics in Calgary and Airdrie. Her practice has focused on helping those with dizziness and balance concerns typically due to vestibular pathology (mainly BPPV, UVH, and vestibular migraine).

Shelley also has an interest in senior’s fall prevention.

Shelley has completed Lifemark’s post-concussion assessment and treatment training. She is looking forward to expanding her practice to see more post-concussion patients with a vestibular component.
