Originally from Vancouver, Stefan studied in Brisbane, Australia, where he graduated with a Master of Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland, one of the foremost leaders in the world of physiotherapy. He also has a degree in Kinesiology (Human Kinetics), and is certified in clinical pilates, IMS/Dry Needling, FMS and has completed extensive manual therapy training through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. He is currently pursuing the last stage of his diploma in manual and manipulative therapy, the highest level of certification within the orthopaedic division. Stefan also has specialized training in the assessment and management of concussion.
Stefan volunteered with the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games working behind the scenes at Canada Hockey Place. He has experience working in an on-field athletic rehab setting with a variety of athletes ranging from community/high-school level, to UBC and Capilano U's men’s and women’s varsity hockey, soccer, volleyball and basketball. Stefan has also worked with Le Cirque du Soleil in Montreal, treating artists with a wide range of injuries within their performance medicine department.
Stefan is passionate about staying active while inspiring and promoting healthy living through education and living an active lifestyle. This includes cycling, snowboarding and playing ice hockey of which he has been strongly dedicated to for over 25 years.
