Graduating from the University of Saskatchewan, Tanya received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. She was involved with university volleyball and soccer, and has years of experience in dance, since childhood, which instilled in her the love of movement and joy of sport.
In her career, Tanya has assisted and taught internationally to fellow physiotherapists, designed and taught specialized rehabilitation programs and provided physiotherapy treatment to Alberta’s first onsite physiotherapy clinic at an assembly plant. She has owned and managed physiotherapy clinics and treated complex and varied caseloads. She is highly regarded in Calgary’s physiotherapy community, and has the reputation of having success with complicated patients who have reached a plateau with other treatment paths.
Tanya's constant pursuit of knowledge and skill development has led her to certification in advanced manual therapy skills, postural reconstruction physiotherapy, Gunn IMS dry needling, and diagnostic imaging. She has further pursued vestibular and concussion training to treat those with balance, vertigo and dizziness disorders and provides rehabilitation to those suffering from concussion.
Tanya has keen assessment skills and attention to detail which has provided her with the ability to individualize patient care. She believes in providing quality care to help people regain function, enjoyment and balance in their lives.
Tanya feels privileged to have joined the Lifemark family and looks forward to becoming an active member of the rehabilitation team.
In her leisure time, Tanya is an avid traveler, author, writer and artist. She loves to spend as much time as possible outside seeking new adventures with her vintage Airstream trailer, kayak, bike and her sheepadoodle.
